BJJ

BJJ

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on controlling and submitting an opponent through techniques such as takedowns, positional control, joint locks and chokes. Rather than relying primarily on strength or striking, BJJ emphasises leverage, timing, technique and strategy, allowing practitioners to effectively defend themselves against larger or stronger opponents. Training typically involves learning techniques followed by live sparring, known as rolling, which provides a practical way to develop fitness, problem-solving skills, confidence and effective self-defence.

Kickboxing

Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a high-energy striking martial art that combines punches, kicks, footwork and defensive movement into a fast-paced and effective fighting system. Training typically includes technique drills, pad work, bag work, conditioning and controlled sparring, helping practitioners improve fitness, coordination, speed, power and confidence. It is suitable for both those looking to compete and those who simply want an engaging full-body workout while learning practical striking skills.

MMA

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) combines techniques from multiple combat sports, including boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, to create a complete fighting system covering striking, takedowns and ground fighting. Training develops a broad range of skills through technical drills, conditioning and controlled sparring, helping practitioners improve fitness, coordination, confidence and adaptability. MMA is suitable for beginners through to experienced competitors and offers a challenging way to learn both stand-up and grappling techniques.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai

Muay Thai is a traditional Thai striking martial art known as the “Art of Eight Limbs” because it uses punches, kicks, elbows and knees, along with clinch techniques and defensive movement. Training combines technical drills, pad work, conditioning and sparring to develop power, timing, endurance and overall fitness. Muay Thai is highly effective for both competition and self-defence, while also providing a demanding full-body workout that builds confidence and resilience.

No Gi

No Gi

No Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a fast-paced style of grappling practised without the traditional kimono or gi, using techniques such as takedowns, positional control, joint locks and chokes. With fewer grips available, No Gi places greater emphasis on movement, speed, body positioning and wrestling-style control. Training helps develop fitness, coordination, problem-solving skills and practical grappling ability, making it suitable for beginners, experienced practitioners and those interested in MMA.

Open Mat

Open Mat

Open Mat is an informal Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and No Gi training session where practitioners can train at their own pace without a structured class format. It provides an opportunity to spar, practise techniques, drill specific positions or work on areas of your game with different training partners. Open Mat is ideal for getting extra mat time, developing skills through live practice and experimenting with techniques in a relaxed training environment.

Strength & Conditioning

Strength & Conditioning

Strength and Conditioning sessions are designed to improve overall athletic performance through a combination of strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, mobility and functional movement. Sessions may include resistance exercises, bodyweight movements, circuits and high-intensity conditioning to help build strength, power, endurance and resilience. The training complements martial arts practice while also being suitable for anyone looking to improve their general fitness and physical performance.
